Maintenance NetApp Metro Cluster

On Tuesday, 8th of November, between 0.00h and 7.00h, BIT engineers will perform maintenance on the NetApp Metro Cluster of BIT. This maintenance affects all services and clients using shared storage hosted on this Metro Cluster.
During this maintenance the filers of the NetApp Metro Cluster will be rebooted one by one. Before a reboot is performed the services on the filer will be taken over by the partner filer. After the reboot the services will be returned by the partner filer. Customers with a redundant iSCSI lun or NFS share might experience a short service disruption (max 180 seconds). To avoid unnecessary downtime,please check if the best practices for iSCSI/NFS usage have been applied. Customers with a non-redundant iSCSI lun or NFS share might experience longer downtime (approximately 30 minutes). For more information regarding these best practices please contact us.
