Limited network interruption leaf switch 1 BIT-2C

Customers with an uplink on leaf switch 1 in BIT-2C might experience connectivity issues to parts of the internet. The root cause is still under investigation. During this investigation one of the transit providers has been switched off, all customers might have experienced some packetloss to parts of the internet. This packetloss has been resolved. As soon as more information is available regarding the issue on the switch in BIT-2C we will update our site.

The connectivity issues on the switch in BIT-2C have been resolved by disabling one of the redundant connections to that switch. Further investigation is necessary to determine how to reconnect the switch redundantly to the network.

Further debugging will be done in consultation with the switch vendor. Until that has been finished the switch will have a single uplink to the rest of the network. There are no connectivity issues for customers anymore.

Debugging with the vendor has lead to clues what has caused the problem. Changes has been made that solve any problems for customers on this switch. Furthermore redundancy in connections to the network has been restored. Further investigation is needed but this we do not expect any further hindrance for customers.
