IP address hard to remember? BIT now has emoji address as alternative!
01-04-2019 14:52:06
In some cases, for example when configuring routers and other network equipment, it is sometimes necessary to work with IP addresses. Difficult. BIT has come up with a solution now: the emoji-address. IPv4 addresses will no longer be identified by decimal numbers and IPv6 addresses no longer by hexadecimal numbers, but as emojis. The best part of this solution is that it works for both IPv4 and IPv6.
Many people use emojis on a daily basis, so they are already used to that. And that makes it easier to remember. That is why we chose for this specific solution.
Our IP address page has been updated. Do you want to know what your emoji address is? Please click here.
