Around 19:30, a "line card" on leaf-sw3.bit-2b restarted unexpectedly. Customers with a single uplink on this switch might have noticed a disruption in internet traffic for a brief moment of time.

 

After some investigation by the the engineers of BIT, it turned out that a time-out on the hardware of the switch caused a restart of the line card. The situation went back to normal after the line card restart.
