Summary:
The routing engine of our core router in BIT-2A will be rebooted. The number of interfaces on our core routers in BIT-1 and BIT-2A will also be increased. This may result in short disruptions in traffic to and from the internet and BGP sessions of customers with BIT will be down for several minutes.
Details:
Because of log entries and advise by our vendor we will be rebooting the routing engine of our core router at BIT-2A.
Before rebooting the routing engine we will divert traffic to other paths. This may result in a short disruption in customer connections.
Customers with BGP peering sessions with BIT will observe downtime of their session for several minutes during this process.
During this maintenance we will also expand the number of interfaces and update the configuration. This doesn't have any negative consequences by
itself but should nevertheless be performed during a maintenance window.
