Malfunctioning UPS BIT-1

At 18.53h one of the two UPS'es started to malfunction. BIT engineers have put the UPS in bypass. This had no impact on the power feed. The provider of the UPS system is underway to investigate the issue. Estimated time of arrival is 21.30h.

The malfunction has been investigated. The cause of the malfunctioning has not been found yet. The coming hours equipment will be brought in to do further analyses Monday morning. The UPS stays in bypass. The other UPS on site is functioning as it should be. Non-break power is available.

Further investigation of the UPS has led to the conclusion that the UPS will be replaced. As soon as possible we will communicate the date and time the new UPS will be placed. Because of this incident the monthly emergency power test that should happen tomorrow, will be cancelled.

The new UPS has arrived. It will be placed and tested this afternoon.

The new UPS is configured and tested. The UPS is in production now.
