Backup services by BIT

At BIT, we know that no platform is entirely immune to unexpected issues. Data loss can happen to anyone, which is why we offer reliable backup solutions to protect your information.

We provide two types of backup services: network backup and cloud backup. With the network backup, we take care of managing your backups for you. If you choose the cloud backup, you manage your data yourself.

Network Backup

Our network backup service ensures that your data is secure and always available, no matter the circumstances.

• Secure storage at two locations: Your data is stored in both BIT-1 and BIT-2, so you always have a backup, even in the event of disasters.
• Optimal security: We use multiple layers of protection, including encryption and redundant systems, to safeguard your data.
• Flexible retention periods: By default, we retain your backups for five weeks, but this can be adjusted to meet your specific needs.

Incremental Backups

Our network backup service uses incremental backups, where only changed files are stored. This keeps your backups compact and efficient. You can access your backups at any time and even restore individual files.

Support for Linux/Unix and Windows

• Linux/Unix: For Linux systems, we use ‘Rsync over SSH’. This method is fast and ensures secure transfer of your data to our servers. After each backup, you will receive an email with a summary of the results.
• Windows: Windows servers are backed up using Acronis software, with your data encrypted. With the Acronis Management Console, you can easily manage your backups and restore data if needed.
