Reliable Power Configurations for Maximum Uptime
Availability and reliability are essential to every IT environment. That is why a stable power supply is one of the most critical aspects of our data centres. When customers colocate their IT equipment with us, we carry out a detailed assessment of their requirements, including the equipment to be connected, the preferred rack layout, and the necessary power connections. We provide flexible, tailored power configurations to ensure each customer receives exactly the power infrastructure their equipment requires.
Flexible Power Solutions
As standard, every rack is supplied with a 32A power feed. However, for customers with specific requirements, this can be fully customised. Whether additional capacity, three-phase power, or specialised connections such as custom-built power distribution units (PDUs) are required, we can deliver a solution for virtually any configuration.
Power Configurations up to 96A per Rack
Our racks are equipped with a standard 32A power supply, but for customers with higher power demands, we offer configurations of up to 96A within a single rack, for example three 32A phases. Every rack is provided with redundant power and backup power feeds and includes all necessary installation materials, such as patch leads, power cables, and cage nuts.
Customers can monitor their power consumption at any time through our customer portal. In addition, our engineers monitor power usage around the clock and will notify customers when consumption approaches the available capacity, ensuring a stable and secure power environment at all times.
Custom Power Solutions for Specialist Equipment
While a standard PDU is suitable for most environments, some situations require a customised approach. This may include equipment with non-standard plug types or a preference for horizontal rather than vertical PDUs. For these requirements, we can provide bespoke PDUs that are fully aligned with the customer’s rack configuration.
ATS Solutions for Single Power Supply Equipment
For customers operating equipment with only a single power supply, we can provide an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). In the event of a power source failure, the ATS automatically switches to an alternative power feed, ensuring uninterrupted operation. As most modern equipment is equipped with dual power supplies, an ATS is often unnecessary. However, we can integrate an ATS on request for devices that still require this functionality.
Redundant Power Infrastructure Across All Our Data Centres
Our data centres are designed to provide maximum power resilience through separate no-break power feeds to every rack. Depending on the location, racks are supported by redundant backup power systems, including dual UPS installations and generator capacity configured in either N+1 or 2N arrangements.
