Managed Hosting

With our managed hosting service, you can be certain of one thing: your valuable data is safe and available. You tell us what you need servers and storage for, and we ensure your hardware meets all specifications. After purchase and installation in our data centres, we handle the complete management. Everything stays up to date and optimally secure, without you having to lift a finger.

Managed Hosting at BIT

At BIT, we focus on what we’re truly good at. One of those areas is the procurement and management of servers and storage. Our engineers have in-depth knowledge of both *nix and Windows systems and are trained and certified in ISO/IEC 27001 and NEN 7510. This means we configure and manage your servers to ensure your data is secure and downtime is minimised. We use the latest internet standards, such as TLS, HSTS, DNSSEC, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and DANE TLSA, to protect your systems from cyber threats like spam, phishing, and malware.

We also offer additional services such as monitoring, backup, storage, and virtual servers, fully tailored to your needs.

Procurement

For customer platforms, we supply the necessary hardware and advise you on the specifications your servers and storage require. If you wish, we handle the delivery of the equipment and its installation in our data centres, including warranty management. We prefer working with Ceph for storage and Fujitsu hardware due to the exceptional quality and service we’ve experienced with both.

Installation

Our administrators have years of experience installing and configuring thousands of servers. All servers meet strict internal requirements to ensure security and availability. Together with you, we determine the best operating system for your server’s tasks. We install and configure the operating system, including all necessary software. Only after a thorough inspection by a second technical expert do we deliver the server to you.

Management

BIT ensures your servers are always up to date with the latest operating system and software updates. This is crucial for optimal security. We perform maintenance twice a month outside office hours, or more frequently if urgent updates are required. Planned maintenance is announced at least two weeks in advance, giving you time to adjust arrangements if needed.
