Guaranteed Continuous Availability
Our data centres rank among the best in the Netherlands and form the core of our services. All critical infrastructure, including power supply and cooling, features redundant systems. Additionally, our team of certified experts provides 24/7 maintenance, service and incident resolution. Customers requiring additional risk distribution can deploy a second location as backup.
Three Independent Data Centres
BIT operates three completely independent data centres in Ede, all owned outright:
- BIT-2A & BIT-2BCD: Located on the same site but with separate emergency power and cooling systems
- BIT-1: Situated 500 metres from BIT-2 at a separate location
All buildings are positioned well above sea level (NAP), providing additional security – particularly for international clients.
Redundancy at Every Level: Twin Data Centre
Our BIT-1 and BIT-2 locations are connected via a redundant fibre-optic ring despite their physical separation. This allows you to deploy equipment at both locations while maintaining the same IP addresses.
Extended Risk Distribution via Solcon
For clients seeking even greater risk distribution, we offer the option to locate some equipment at Solcon, 30 kilometres from Ede.

Whether you need complete managed services (including hardware management, backups and monitoring) or want to configure your own equipment in a secure environment: BIT supports both approaches. Our carrier-neutral data centres enable you to combine colocation services with IP services from other providers without restrictions.
