Summary:

The software on BIT’s core routers will be updated to the version currently recommended by the vendor. During this maintenance window, brief interruptions may occur in internet traffic to and from our network. BGP sessions between customers and BIT will be temporarily interrupted for several minutes.

Details:

During this maintenance, the software on our core routers will be upgraded to the version recommended by the vendor. This upgrade requires a reboot of the routers.

Prior to the upgrade, network traffic will be rerouted via alternative paths. During this transition, brief interruptions to customer connections may occur. Customers using BGP routing via BIT may experience BGP sessions with one of our routers going offline for several minutes.
