Samenvatting:

The Ceph Metadata servers (MDS) will be replaced with new hardware. During this maintenance, the CephFS cluster will temporarily operate without redundancy and may be briefly unavailable at certain moments.

Details:

During maintenance, the shared file system (CephFS) will be briefly unavailable at least once — and potentially multiple times. This is required to promote the standby node to the active role in order to proceed with hardware replacement on the current active node. This failover will cause temporary unavailability of the CephFS cluster.
Furthermore, there will be two periods during which the cluster will operate without redundancy, as the standby node will be offline while its hardware is being replaced and thus not available for failover.
