BIT stimulates the use of the electric car

Last week, BIT commissioned three charging stations for electric cars in its parking lots at the BIT-2 data center. The charging points can be used by visitors to the BIT data centers and/or the BIT office. Like the office and data centers, the charging points use 100% sustainably generated energy.

Customers with independent access to the BIT datacenters can use their BIT access pass to activate a charging point. Visitors without an access pass will be able to charge their electric car after one of the charging points has been activated by a BIT employee. Regular charging passes cannot be used at the charging points. The cost of the charging points will not be passed on to visitors, but will be offered as a free service.

The charging points have an electrical capacity of 22 kW. This means that most electric cars can be almost fully recharged within one hour.
