– Managing e-mail accounts in the BIT portal is not possible for a short period of time
– Websites using a Memcached instance may be temporarily unavailable
– The upload server of the shared Linux hosting platform will be unreachable for a short period of time
– Cronjobs scheduled the during this maintenance might not be executed on the upload server

Summary:
During the maintenance various servers will be migrated to new hardware and updated with the latest software updates and security patches. This causes various services to be unavailable during the maintenance.
Details:
During the maintenance, two servers that process network statistics for the BIT portal will be updated with the latest software updates and security patches. Because of this, network statistics can be unavailable during the maintenance and can miss some measurements.
During the maintenance, a server that processes settings for email accounts will be updated with the latest software updates and security patches. Because of this, updating settings on email accounts is not possible for a short period of time in the BIT Portal.
The server that hosts memcached instances will be updated with the latest software updates and security patches. During the installation of these updates the memcached instances will be unreachable.
On the server upload.bit.nl we will also install the latest security patches. This requires rebooting the server which will cause the upload server to be unavailable for a few minutes. Up or downloading website content through this server will not be possible for a short period of time. Cronjobs which are scheduled in the maintenance window might not be executed. This will not affect the reachability of your website(s) on our platform.
The HTTP redirect server will be updated with the latest software updates and security patches. During the installation of these updates HTTP redirects will not work.
