Summary:

Reduced BIT-2C power supply redundancy during UPS replacement.

Details:

The UPS systems in BIT-2B and BIT-2C are to be replaced preventatively due to their age. During the indicated period, we will replace the UPS of feed A in BIT-2C.

During the work, the UPS for feed B will supply both the A and B feeds. The UPS of feed B has ample capacity to deliver this extra power. However, this means only one UPS will be available during this work.

On Monday 21 September between 05:00 and 07:00, feed A in BIT-2C will be switched over. Two weeks later, on 5 October, between 05:00 and 07:00, feed A will be switched back. From that moment on, the feed will be powered by the new feed A UPS and redundancy will be restored.

We do not expect any interruption during both switchovers, but the switching itself does create an increased risk.
