Maintenance BIT-2A UPS B-feed
16-11-2020 07:00:00
- 20-11-2020 17:30:00
Urgency: Planned
Affected services: Equipment in BIT-2A
Expected impact: Possible loss of power redundancy
Customer intervention required: No
Reference number: 169779
Summary:
From Monday, November 16th until Friday, November 20th between 07:00 and 17:30 hrs, our supplier will be performing maintenance on one of the UPS-sets in BIT-2A. During this maintenance our supplier will replace the batteries on the B-feed of the UPS-set with new batteries.
Details:
During this maintenance one of the four UPS'es of the B-feed will be put in bypass mode. We do not expect any disruption in the B-feed power supply. The remaining three UPSs of the B-feed have more then enough capacity for the datacenter. During the battery replacement, the A-feed will be available continuously. The replacement will introduce an age difference between the batteries of the B-feed and the batteries of the A-feed. This is on purpose. This will improve the availability of the setup.
This maintenance will be supervised by BIT engineers.
