Capacity expansion on core network

Summary:
The capacity between the Arista access network and the Juniper core routers, and the capacity of the Juniper core routers to the core network will be doubled. The connections between the access network and the core routers will also be configured to a more redundant setup.
Details:
To increase the capacity and improve the redundancy, the currently singular Layer 2 connections between the access network and the core routers at two locations will be upgraded to a port channel. Before the connections are doubled, traffic will be carefully rerouted to the other connection to minimize impact. Then, the upgrade will be carried out, and vice versa. Additionally, extra ports will be added to the port channels between the core routers and the core switches to expand the overall capacity.

This maintenance has been completed successfully. Due to some unexpected issues with the new configuration one of the disruptions was longer than originally anticipated.
