Summary:
During the maintenance, a hypervisor and several database servers will be updated. Because of this, statistics in the BIT portal will not be updated during the maintenance. Databases on the shared server db2.bit.nl will be unreachable for a short moment. The BIT website can be unreachable for a short period of time, and updating e-mail settings will not be possible for a short period of time.
Details:
During the maintenance, a hypervisor will be reinstalled. Some virtual machines with local storage will have to be shut down.
The server for generating statistics in the BIT portal will be offline during the reinstallation of the hypervisor. After the reinstallation of the hypervisor, the statistics server will be updated. This will cause statistics to be unavailable for a longer period of time during the maintenance.
The shared database server db2.bit.nl will be updated with the latest security updates and moved to another hypervisor. The MySQL databases on this server will be unreachable for a short period of time because of this.
The database server for the BIT website and e-mail account settings in the BIT portal will also be updated and moved to another hypervisor. This will cause the BIT website to be unreachable for a short period of time. Updating e-mail settings in the BIT portal is also not possible for a short period of time.
